Schengen Visa for Indians?
A Schengen visa is an entry permit for non-EU nationals to make a short, temporary visit of up to 90 days in any 180-day period to a country in the Schengen area.
Types of Schengen Visas:
- Single-entry visa: Allows one entry into the Schengen area.
- Multiple-entry visa: Allows several visits to the Schengen area for the duration of the visa validity.
- Airport transit visa: Allows transit through the international transit area of a Schengen airport without entering the Schengen area.
Duration of Stay
You can use the short-stay visa calculator to calculate the number of days you are allowed to stay in the Schengen area. A user guide with step-by-step instructions is available for assistance.

Citizens of certain non-EU countries must hold a short-stay visa when traveling to the Schengen area. Refer to the EU’s official list for specific requirements and exceptions.
